I need help on getin in about wireless internet, service provider, laptop?

nurse123410 asked:

Ok so heres how is it. I have a laptop(no pc).. my mom is getting rid of my service provider by the end of the month.I have wireless internet connected 2 the router right now with a service provider.
My question is can you connect to the internet in any possible way? I checked around..all the routers around me are secure.
I heard that you can get the internet with a wireless network card and a cable modem/router.
Is that true? for a laptop?

What is the best wireless internet service provider/speed for laptops, in terms of price and reliability?

Thomas S asked:

I have done some research, and it seems 5GB is like, the standard limit, with $.25 per MB or GB over the limit(forget which).

What service is the best? Also is 5GB really that much internet time(exclude any downloading) for just casual browsing/research and IMing people? Is it a good amount for daily gaming?

Where can I find inexpensive internet provider-Too far away for dsl, and wireless towers?

John asked:

I am located in Unioville Michigan, and I am having one heck of a time getting internet service out here. I have earthlink Dsl rated at 1.5mbs. That is not happenining. I am getting more like 300kbs because I am too far away from a central station.
I tried wirless tower services thru speednet. The signal kept dropping because I am too far away. Needless to say we dropped that service as well. I have looked at T1 lines but they are way out of my budget. Does anyone have any ideas where I can go from here. Thanks

Can you refer me to your best wireless broadband service in Bangkok?

smile asked:

im living in sukhumvit 93 (bangchak). My apartment doesnt have the LAN that i needed. Im wondering if there are good providers of wireless broadband here in Bangkok.

The idea is i will be connected using a wireless antenna from my room to the Internet service provider’s nearest cell site..something like that. The server doesnt necessarily be placed within my apartment.

My friends in the Philippines are using these kind of technology.
