What is the best and cheapest wireless Internet service provider?
mirabelle asked:
I am looking for something that runs under $25/month and with a low installation fee (under $75). Is this possible? I really don’t know what I’m doing here. I just bought a laptop and I don’t have a landline or cable t.v., so I have no preference between DSL or cable connections.
I’m in Chicago, IL.

Depends on your location. I think Yahoo is available as high-speed DSL for $14.95 but check that out first.
I prefer cable over DSL because I had few crashes. Phone lines are old technology. However, someone may suggest satellite internet. I setup my own DSL connection so I had to pay for the modem, under $50. DSL is easy to setup, as well as cable, if you have the modem, the network card in your computer, and the phone line or cable. They both, however, require either phone service (DSL) or cable TV (cable) which can tack on pretty heavily.
Can’t answer your question unless we know at least what country you live in.
Just give us your town and country and them maybe we can help.

“Best” and “cheapest” are two mutually exclusive ideas. Best is almost never the cheapest, like 99% of the time.
I prefer cable modems because fiberoptic cable service is way faster than DSL. As for wireless, you are on your own there, as I am hard-wired.
Try Verizon very cheap and fast
